Movie Friday

Tonight Heidi and I went to go check out Pixar's new flick, Ratatouille. It is a great movie for all ages. The theater was packed with parents and their kids. I offered these two kids some of my sour gummy candy because I could tell they were eyeing it up. After the movie we went to the cheesecake factory to have our own Ratatouille meal (of course with out the rat:)

At the resturant, we didn't get the best seat in the house but we did get great service. Our waiter Justin was the nicest guy every. He made sure our food came out the quickest, of quickest. A+ for Justin. To recap the night, great movie and great food = Great date. I love my Heidi.

O yeah, I almost forgot to tell you about my sweet tres leche cake :) I've been seeing it a lot on the food network and I knew I wanted one. So when I heard they had them at the cheesecake factory, I got one. Way better than the iPhones and I didn't have to stand in line for 30 something hours :) It looks banging. Can't wait to eat it tomorrow after the wedding.

Frederick Fun

After a long day of photographing and crunch editing, Heidi and I tried went out to relax. We headed over to Frederick because every sunday during the summer they hold a small concert at the park. We had fun listening to music and playing with ramdom peoples' dogs as they walked by us. I finished the day off with a fun photo shoot.

Elizabeth & Eric

I am very blessed to get the chance to work with a great couple like Eric and Elizabeth. They were down to earth and you can tell that they loved each other very much. It's great when both the bride and groom feel really comfortable behind the camera together. I am happy with this wedding. Check out their wedding day.

Another reason I enjoyed this wedding so much is because I met some really cool people. Mike Strebeck- dj and Elizabeth Lukes- videographer. Mike made sure the party kept on rockin and Elizabeth made my day go super smooth. I never worked with a videographer that could keep up with me and be on point with every shot. So Big ups to my two new friends :)

O and one more thing, Jake the ring bearer was the cutest kid. I got the chance to teach him how to photograph with my camera. He took some really good photos of his mom. Can't wait and see if he becomes a professional photographer when he grows up.

Anna and Jeb

I had a blast photographing Anna and Jeb's wedding. Now these two kids know how to let loose and enjoy the moment. Check out the photos.

And yes I want to give a quick shout out to my buddy Kevin Strack. He's a dj and a photographer. Of course he can't do both at the same time but he's booked everytime. Thanks for keeping the party alive.

Alex's 4th

I love my 16-35 lens. I get the best candids with this lens. I'm able to get super close to people and get funny reactions. Check out these funny photos of my little cousins. Alex had a blast at his party. They all really like to run around the house. I love family as much as Heidi's family.

Show It

Heres Gillian and Josh's show that I never put up. Check it out.

Fun, Fun

Man I'm tired, but you know what I had a blast tonight. This has to be the best wedding of 07. Lara and John are the perfect couple to photograph. They followed direction really well and had great ideas for photos. It was crazy hot outside, but nothing stopped them from looking good. I can't wait to post up the photos. Stay tuned.

Last Call

It's a great feeling when you call the bride to confirm and by the sound of her voice you can tell she's super excited for her big day. I really enjoy working with the brides and grooms who want you at their wedding, the ones who let you do your job. I am never at the wedding to steal the spot light; I am there to save the memories. I love my job.

Recap

I had a blast in Minnesota but I am glad to be home. People always want to go as far away from their home as possible. I guess we think the grass is greener on the other side. Sometimes it's true but that's not always the case. Being home in your own bed and cooking in your own kitchen is fun. But I did like coming back from meetings and seeing that the bed was already made, bonus:)

This week was awesome, I'm really stoked that I attended and that all the cool photographers that I meet where great people. I got a lot of ingenious ideas for next year and made some really outstanding friends. But getting to bring all that knowledge back to share with others is what made the trip well worth it.

David Humes

Yesterday I got the chance to hear a great masters speaker. David Hume Kennerly was such a cool guy. He talked about his life as a photojournalistic photographer. He spoke about how he started as a photographer and showed us a lot of his old work that has been published and showed us the images for his new book. What a photographer.

Travel Time

So after the wedding Heidi and I drove back to PA for Kevin little's b-day party. He's so big now, the big 2, time flies so fast. After fun and food with the family, we drove back home to get ready for my trip to Minnesota. I'm really bad at getting stuff ready on time. Didn't get to bed till 2 but that’s ok.

Getting up is the hardest part of your day, but once your up I guess its worth it. My new apartment is super close to the airport so we didn't have to leave that early.

My flight wasn't quick but I didn't have any layovers and that’s a plus. I love to fly because it's the best place to meet cool people, and talking kills a lot of down time. O yea I got a cab for the first time and it was pretty cool. Well cab van not yellow cab. It was a little expensive but when you don't have to wait for the shuttle it's well worth it.

The hotel that I'm staying at is pretty cool. I enjoy hotels because they always have kick butt breakfast. I hope I make it tomorrow.

Cheryl and Nathan

Yesturday I had a blast photographing Cheryl and Nathan's wedding. The two picked the best location for their wedding, a sweet outdoor by the water wedding. I can say they were super fun to work with and the rest of the bridal party was wild and crazy. Just how I like it.

Wedding Ready

So now I got to get ready for my wedding tomorrow. Getting my camera gear together is a chore and a half. Charge all my battires, format my cards, make sure I know where I am going and I yes I also need to rest up. Heidi is already in bed so now I should do the same. Good Night.
