My buddy Brandan made this kick butt cake for Heidi and I. The cake was so moist. Heidi said it tasted like it was made by angels and I do have to agree. I would share it with everyone but we finished it once we started. Yum.

Heather & Jesse

I had so much fun with Heather and Jesse tonight. These two love birds were ready for anything I threw at them. I would put them in a spot and they would do the rest. I couldn't have asked for a better couple. You can tell by the photos that they really love each other. I can't wait for their wedding. Make sure you check out their awesome slideshow.

Greene Turtle Raffle Winner

And the lucky couple to win the Wedding Raffle is Elizabeth and Dan from Norfolk, VA. I am super excited to photograph this wedding because of their generosity. I haven't met these two but I can tell I'm going to have a lot of fun with them. Be sure to check back in June to see their wedding slideshow.

Greene Turtle Raffle

Today the Greene Turtle in Columbia, MD is holding a fundraiser for a beautiful little girl. Sarah Faith, 1 ½ years old, was diagnosed with a form of childhood cancer called Neuroblastoma. On February 15th 2008 the surgeons at John Hopkins Hospital were able to successfully remove the tumor near her spine. The road to recovery is far from over, although her prognosis has improved significantly. There have been many negative effects on Sarah’s body because of the cancer.

With all that said, the Greene Turtle of Columbia will donated a portion of their profits from today to support Sarah Faith. There will also be amazing raffles, silent auctions, gift certificates, and trips that will help in the fund.

After reading this, I knew I wanted to help, so I am donating a wedding package to one lucky couple. So if you’re in the area, come join me at the Greene Turtle tonight for some drinks, food and fun.

Cherry Blossom Festival

This Saturday will be the Cherry Blossom Festival in DC. The festival will start at 10am and end at 7pm, but I am going to try to get into DC by 7am and walk all day. I have never been to this festival but it should be pretty fun. So if anyone wants to come and join me, feel free to email or call me so we can pick a meeting spot.

Getting Married

Today I got to meet with two great couples, Diane and Scott and Cristina and Chris. I had a blast getting to know both couples. I think its fate sometime on how I meet these great couples. I always find something in common with all my clients. Dianne and Scott will be getting married in May and Cristina and Chris will be getting marred in September. Here is a picture of Cristina and Chris, what a lovely couple. I want to say sorry but I forgot to get a picture of Diane and Scott :( But make sure to check back on April 6th, I will be photographing their engagement session.

My Grandma

I want to say, I love my grandma. She was defiantly my rock when I was growing up. She kept me so grounded in life, and always supported me with everything I did. I don't think I would be where I am at right now if she never kept me out of trouble. It was never tough love with her, it was all about respect.

4 years later

Today makes it 4 years since Heidi and I have been together. Wow! I say that in a funny way but really am glad I am with Heidi. She is the yoke in my egg, the milk to my fruity pebbles, the beauty to my beast. I love this women with all my heart. I know I am the luckiest dude on earth.

So today Heidi need some photos for her blog but couldn't find her point and shoot camera so she decided to use the 5d. I must say she's getting better at taking photos and she really picks up the settings really well. Check out her snap shots :)

Charm City Roller Girls

This Saturday I will be going to the Charm City Roller Girls bout. Jamie suggested this extreme sport and I think it's going to be great. If anyone wants to come, tickets are $15. But if you can't make it, I will post up a slideshow of all the hard hitting action.

My first Interview

So today was my first photo interview. While I was setting up to photograph classroom groups, the kids asked if I would be their guest interview for their morning announcement. I was flattered, I love talking about how I got into photography to anyone who wants to listen. The kids doing the morning announcement at Paint Branch Elementary are amazing, they are dedicated to doing a great job.
